When testing this bluetooth with my new 2.0 compliant Samsung, it paired easily. When I turned on the bluetooth, my phone recognized it and asked if I wanted to connect.
Remember, the sound on any bluetooth will vary depending on the volume on your phone and the volume set on the bluetooth. I find I get better quality with low volume on the phone and increase the volume on the bluetooth. If you have both too loud, you will get feedback and echo effect.
